Why in the world aren’t there more people here for brunch? This place has it all. Great selection on the menu, and a pretty solid Bloody Mary bar. First, choose which Tavern-infused Vodka you would like – traditional, jalapeño & garlic, pickle, bacon, or one of their other infusions. Next, choose your tomato juice & heat; zesty Zing Zang, Clamato, or traditional tomato then kick it up from an array of hot sauces & horseradish. Finally, while one of their mixologists gives your signature Bloody Mary a shake, grab a skewer & enjoy some items to dip into your Bloody Mary – shrimp, cheeses, bacon, pickles, smokies & more. They had me at Bacon and Smokies. I joked that I think I got all of the food groups in mine.
The brunch menu is pretty solid and they have pretty much my favorite version of breakfast sandwich ever. The Broken Yolk Egg Sandwich consists of 3 eggs, bacon, American cheese on black pepper bread with roasted garlic aioli. Served with a fruit cup. So damn good. If the sandwich isn’t your thing check out these choices!

You can order off the regular menu as well, but they make a killer brunch. I’ve been a couple other times for the dinner menu as well and never really had anything I didn’t care for. The patio in the warm months is pretty awesome and the indoor dinning area has some sweet U-shaped booths to sprawl in. This place is absolutely great for a group outing with their giant tables out on the patio. I know they have other locations, but I have only been to the one in River. It is always on my Sunday brunch radar.
